About Central Metal Recycling
Central Metal Recycling is a family-owned, full-service scrap metal recycling center located at 5618 W. Fillmore Street on Chicago’s West Side. We have been buying scrap metal from residential customers, contractors, and professional scrappers since 2010.
We accept all major ferrous and non-ferrous metals including copper (bare bright, #1, #2, insulated wire), aluminum (cast, extrusion, sheet, cans, rims), brass (yellow, red, pipe fittings), iron and steel (light iron, heavy melt, cast iron, rebar), stainless steel (304, 316), and e-scrap (computers, circuit boards, wire harnesses).
Our facility includes a certified 60-foot truck scale. We weigh everything on-site and pay cash on the spot. No appointment is needed. We are open Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM and Saturday from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
